We had to do research on different computer sites. We also did a similar project on desktop versus laptop. I think i'm against the odds, going with desktop. It's the 2nd link.

Then, we did a project on folklore stories. We got to pick one, and do a video on it. Basically, use Canva to animate the story. I did La Llorona, which is a story about a woman who pushed her children off a cliff and it haunted her for the rest of her life. 👻 I wish I could, show you but I can't because of site permissions. 😭😭😭😭
We also used premiere to use video clips to make a cafe ad and a detective scene. 📽️ In premiere, we had to clip videos and arrange them the way we wanted. Then we made an "AI explorer Magazine". We had to pick a topic and explore how AI is used in that field. Then we explained pros and cons and made images of it with AI. It's the first link. Then, for the new 6th graders, we made a survival guide. A presentation with tips and tricks for how to get to class, how to be organized, and what foods are best. Just reassuring that it's not as hard as it looks.
For fiesta, we got to design a fiesta medal. Mr. Garcia actually said it might be the actual DATA fiesta medal next year. We used Canva to design a medal. Mine is like an eagle and a mannequin.
then as an end of year project, we got to design a chicken coop in Mincraft. This ties in to oher classes too. We did measurments in math, placed it in Google Earth in multimedia, and in tech apps, we used Minecraft Education to build our chicken coop. Then we made an 8 slide presentation on our chicken coop in Canvas.
eSome of the everyday things we do in tech apps are Blooket AND Quote of the week. Quote of the week is where MR. Garcia (the teacher) gives you a quote, and you have to decipher it and tell him what you think it means.
