Season Summary: 

The Steelers started the season with their starting quarterback, Kenny Pickett. In week 13 he got injured and Mitch Trubisky was his back up for the next three games. After he threw his second interception during the colts game, they put in their third string quarterback Mason Rudolph. In week 16 Mason Rudolph led his team to a 34-11 point win against the Bengals which is the highest scoring game of the last two seasons. He continued to be the starting quarterback for the last 3 games and led his team to the playoffs and was the starter there as well. They lost in the wildcard round against the Buffalo Bills having their final record be 10-7-0 and the Chiefs winning the Superbowl. 

Three Important Rules:

1. 11 Players from each team on the field at once.

2. The offense is trying to move the ball down the field and score points.

3. The defense is trying to stop the offense from moving down the field and they can also score points. 

Three Examples of Jargon:

1. Interception- A defensive player catches a ball that was intended to be caught by the offense. 

2. Fumble- A player drops  the ball after having possession of it. 

3. Turnover- A player gains possession of a ball that was fumbled. 

Football Cliche:

The road to the Super Bowl goes through Miami- This is saying that Miami has clinched the #1 seed in the playoffs, and every playoff game they play will be at home in Miami. Other teams have to travel there if they want to go to the Super Bowl.

Jerry Rice:

Jerry Rice was an NFL wide receiver who played for the 49ers, Raiders, and Seahawks. He was born in Starkville Mississippi and went to Mississippi Valley State University. He set the all time record for receptions, receiving yards, touchdown receptions, yards from scrimmage, and more.
