Woker's are threatening to make their strike longer unless they see a real change in progress. Because of the strike there are limited workers and they have been informed that people are getting fired. Some are wanting to settle the strike, but others not. The strike could soon start to impact the big three.
The union is seeking wage increases of more than 30% over four years and other sweeteners. prices rose sharply on strong consumer demand and a limited supply of vehicles because of chip shortages and other issues. They refuse to end the strike unless they see a real change in progress.
The suppliers for the Big Three could be effected by the strike. Other companies are also being effected by the strike such as the production at nonunion automakers.
I think they should because if they are getting treated unfairly then they should speak up for themselves and make a change.
I think that the employers should have more power because they ussaly run a lot of things and see who is working the job. They fire and hire people and make sure everything is running smoothly and if the workers had all the power some would just never show up for work or they wouldn't do their jobs right. I think that the employers should abuse their power, but they should have more of it.
because the share of jobs in manufacturing has fallen, and because fewer of the manufacturing jobs that remain are held by union workers. It is shrinking because there aren't as many workers and not as many opportunities to unionize.
