This term we will be focusing on:
Week 1-5: Recount Writing: Students will practise recount writing about their own personal experiences, such as attending their trip for Topic. They will also be focusing on using correct punctuation in their writing.
Week 6-10: Diary Entries:
Students will be writing diary entries that reflect back on the past and present tense, whilst also working on text and structure language features.

All students will have a range of progressions based on their individual needs, which will include some of the following:
Y5 - Writing:
Use all basic punctuation correctly most of the time.
Use the text structure and language that meets the purpose for writing.
Y6 - Writing
Attempt complex punctuation
Choose the appropriate text structure and written and visual language features that meet the purpose for writing and engage the audience.
