During term 2 we will be learning about the Arrival of Pākehā to Aotearoa New Zealand and our identity and belonging into our cultural past.
We will be learning about:
How Pākehā settlers arrived to Aotearoa New Zealand and what impact that had on the people and landscape.
What tools and technologies were brought from overseas.
What life looked like during the early 19th century here in Aotearoa NZ.
How we all belong and contribute to a rich cultural tapestry here in Aotearoa NZ no matter our ancestry and heritage.
This term we will be visiting Howick Historical Village in Week 5. We will also be engaging in practical learning experiences in and outside the classroom to support our learning.
