This term we will be focusing on:
Week 1-5: Speeches. Students will research and write a speech both in class and at home. Part of this learning will be based around how to present confidently. All students will present their speech to their kaitiaki class in Week 5.
Week 6-8: Newspaper reports

Y5 - Writing:
Include details to support ideas.
Use computer and print tools to help proof-read for accuracy of spelling, punctuation and grammar.
Group similar ideas into paragraphs most of the time.
Y6 - Writing
Carefully select relevant details to support ideas.
Independently revise and edit writing to clarify meaning and add impact.
Use linking words and phrases to link paragraphs some of the time.
