The Coronation of His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort will take place at Westminster Abbey on Saturday 6th May, 2023. The Service will be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury.
Following in the footsteps of his Mother, Queen Elizabeth II, Charles will have his coronation to be crowned King of our country. Previously there has been large celebrations for the coronation, including street parties, school celebrations and Bank Holidays given.
This will be the smallest and cheapest coronation in history so far, as King Charles III believes the money should be put back into the country and its people.

The kings birthday is 14 November 1948 he is 74 years old.
He has 2 sons Prince Harry and Prince William.
He has 5 grandchildren; George, Louis, Lilibet, Archie and Charlotte.

All the official royal residences including Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle will now will be under his control.
He believes in sustainability of resources and so the coronation will be a smaller cheaper service, and the crown will be made of recycled jewels.
He also believes in equality and diversity, continueing to work with all the countries in the Commonwealth and has selected some beautiful pieces of music from these countries during the Coronation.
Interestingly, the soon to be King is also putting a stop to other royals living in houses that they can afford and believes they should buy their own properties. The houses not in use will go to the public.
He wants the monarchy to be 'fit for purpose' which means not spending as much money and helping to support our Great Nation once more.
