Participants will dive into a deeper understanding of grit inclusive of the teachable skills necessary to embody it and the adult supports and interventions necessary for cultivating it for and with students. Expected Outcomes: ● Understand the teachable skills of self-awareness, curiosity, exploration, perseverance, mindset, and cognitive regulation and how to teach and foster them. ● Understand resilience and ways to enhance it for students. ● Understand what effective and appropriate positive student-educator relationships are and are not and how to utilize them to enhance resilience and skill-development and thus, grit.
