Helping anxious kids and teens

Understand the latest statistics and research around anxiety in teenagers and children and gain an understanding of the most effective techniques in working with kids and teens who have anxiety, including what NOT to do. We will develop an understanding of basic neurology including neuroplasticity and the role of the amygdala in an anxious response. Participants will learn how to move from reacting, reassuring and short-term strategies to being a coach for anxious kids to do the work themselves. We will also understand ERP and how to integrate this into your work and go away with three therapeutic takeaways that can be used immediately in working with anxious kids and teens.
