Actions:
1. Review of curriculum in Key Department areas. (History to consider where liberation and civil rights movements might be incorporated earlier in KS3).
2. Further Staff Training and Student Education
3.. Cultural literature and resources bought for the library
4.. Continue to create a culture of reporting discrimination and tackling racism.
5. Educate all students about the rich history of each community including ‘excellence’ among the racial diversity (including Asian and Pacific Islanders Month and Native American Heritage)
6. Create a centralised space for support groups which aim to improve the chances of young people from communities that are statistically underrepresented at University
7. Greater emphasis on recruitment and representation throughout the school including SLT.
8. Regular Imago Dei assemblies and display.
Curriculum and Extracurricular
A number of extracurricular clubs explore racial and cultural diversity, but please note these clubs are open to all students.
Diverse Society, Beginners Mandarin Club, Gospel Choir, Junior African Drummers, Senior African Drummers, Current affairs in Spanish, Jazz Ensemble. All clubs and activities can be found here
