Pre-Algebra

Zoom Meeting @ 10. Here is the link. I will be doing a mini lesson and activity with you, as well as going over the homework you turned in on Tuesday.

Have ready - 1. Your homework from Tuesday (Lesson 8-5)

2. Your spiral, writing utensil and glue stick

3. The 2 sheets that have small squares (equations, graphs, x and y intercepts). Leave the graphs attached in 2 long strips together and glue the strips down the

middle of the next two pages in your spiral. Cut out the squares on either side and put them into 2 piles.

Padlet - Go to the link and add a post. Do this by clicking the + sign in bottom right and adding a comment, a picture, a link, etc. You can also add a comment below my post. This is just to get you familiar with it. I think I am going to make this the new way to turn in homework!

  4. Assignment: Make Spreadsheet from interviews. Open this spreadsheet. Read the results of the spreadsheet survey your class took. Highlight the spreadsheet you are going to do your best to create a simple table. (I highly suggest you pick the one you turned in since someone at home can give you advice!) The Spreadsheet has the GENERAL instructions for everyone. Do your best! I want to see how you do on your own. Due by next Thursday. Ask for help if you need ideas. Watch the video. I really like to know people watch them!!!

Let's look at some art today!!! We are embarking on one of my favorite topics/lessons. We will begin today and finish up on Friday. Do the following activities in order!

  1. Read the "Humanism Background" article pages 1 & 2. There is some great content in there. Get our your 3 Main Ideas of the Renaissance Chart we started earlier in the module. Add important facts and ideas about humanism, secularism, and individualism to that chart. That chart will be very handy when it comes time for your test!

  2. Watch my video about characteristics of Medieval/Gothic Art and Renaissance art. It's great stuff, don't miss it!

  3. Complete the characteristics of Middle Age and Renaissance art activity in GC.

  4. Assignment: Day 2: Still Life photography . First read and look at the images on this website. Fill out this form. Plan out your composition in classroom and turn it in today. What are you trying to show? Textures? Emotions? How does the lighting affect the message and feelings? Does it tell a message? Look around your home and see what you can plan out. Plan the background, settings, how much will be in view. Take many pictures, but only turn in your best 2-5. Quality over quantity! (PS don't break anything!) Use the camera you have and like the best, phone camera, or digital camera. Make sure your parents know what you are doing and you're allowed to use the camera or items you are setting up. Two day assignment., March 19 to plan and practice, March 24 to actually do and turn in through Classroom.
