WHAT ARE SCHOLARSHIPS?

Scholarships are a type of financial aid awarded to students based on their academic achievements, extra-curricular involvements, personal experiences, and other factors. Scholarships range in the amount of money awarded, competitiveness, difficulty, and eligibility requirements. 

Scholarships can be categorized into Institutional and Private Scholarships: 

• Institutional Scholarships: awarded by a specific college (ex. Augsburg University Scholarships) 

• Private Scholarships: awarded by an outside organization (ex. Wallin Scholarship) 

HOW DO I SEARCH FOR SCHOLARSHIPS?

Start by checking out the most recent CCRC Newsletter to see scholarships that Highland Park students have applied to in past years! Look at this list frequently because it will be updated throughout the year.
