2d design - box

I had two choices I could either make a sticker or a laser cut shape I chose to make a geometric ball

all this shape consists of is triangles

day-2 today i printed 2 practice pieces to test the connection and its not a very snug fit so i'm going to make the tabs smaller. I measured the thickness of the material and got 0.197. today i learned to rotate an object in autocad

day 3- today i printed out more test pieces and they fitted much better so now i'm going to make the ball but i needed a special piece to finish the top and bottom

day 4- today i cut out the final pieces for the ball and ran out of time so i could not finish the project that day

day 5- today i was almost finished with my project only to find out that i only need one piece is one that is diffrent from all the others so then i went back into adobe and made the new piece

day 6- i printed the peice and the connection fit great and then i was able to finish my project, it looks similar to a 20 sided die but then i took it to mr kelly and he did the drop test and the ball exploded into many pieces and i figured out that i needed to re print the triangles because they were badly printed so once again the project will take one more day.

day 7- today I finished the project only to have my hopes of finishing smashed because the ball failed to survive the drop test once again, and at this point i don't want anything to do with this box so i'm going to cut my losses and be done with this project. But if anything it does look very cool.
