Our entire Mobile Tour operation is run by a team of seven- eight people. Part of the team is based at StoryCorps' offices in Brooklyn, and three are running the MobileBooth on the ground. We are a fairly small group, but we cover a lot of ground (ten cities every year!)
Associate Director: Directs and designs the Mobile Tour, including working with local NPR-affiliate stations who host StoryCorps Mobile Tour at each of our stops
Associate Manager of Community Partnerships: Leads our team as they conduct outreach to create community partnerships and builds relationships with organizations along our tour route
Rotating Office Facilitator: Brings their on-the-ground knowledge from the MobileBooth to our Brooklyn office to inform research and and create new outreach materials and tools
Interns (1-2) : Ensure our recording appointments are confirmed while conducting research into stops and building their own projects of interest
Site Manager: Oversees Mobile Tour logistics on the road, builds relationships with a range of partners and ensures everything runs smoothly at each location, in addition to facilitating the recording process twice a week
Facilitators (2): Two at each stop, one bilingual in English and Spanish. They are our full-time listeners and "road stars." They orient participants before each appointment and during the recording session they ensure the equipment is working properly and voices are being preserved.
