Each organization we partner with will dedicate a point-person who is in charge of booking appointments for participants. We will email you the link to our advance calendar so that you can book appointments before they go public. It is very important that you enter contact information for BOTH participants, so that we can contact them to confirm their appointments.
Once you've booked appointments for your participants, our Mobile Team will contact each participant to talk through the StoryCorps recording process, give them details about location and parking, and answer any questions they may have. If point people would like to give participants more details about StoryCorps before we call them, we recommend taking a look at our What to Expect page and reading through our list of Great Questions to help participants get an idea of what they might want to talk about during a recording.
Participants are welcome to talk about the organizations they are recording on behalf of, but they do not have to. You can talk about anything you would like during your 40-minute recording. Many participants find it meaningful to discuss an experience they went through or talk about how they might know their partner. We don't look for anything specific in a recording; this is a chance for participants to talk about something important to them that they would like to document.

Here is a flyer to help explain what StoryCorps is to the people involved in your community before the priority appointments deadline. Download the flyer, add the point person's contact information, and use it to recruit participants who will rely on the point person to book their appointments.
(To get the word out to everyone)
Here is a flyer that tells participants how they can book their own appointments. This is useful for spreading the word after the priority appointments deadline, or to individuals beyond your organization.
Here are links to some site-specific posters, flyers, and social graphics. Feel free to share them on your pages, or with any participants or organizations you think would be interested in partnering with us.
