Statement of Understanding
The Resident Assistant (RA) is a paraprofessional undergraduate or graduate staff member of Residential Education and reports directly to a Residence Hall Director (RHD). RAs play an integral part in the overall operation of the residence halls and apartment communities. Primarily, the RA is concerned with the success of each individual on their floor/area and the building community as a whole. Additionally, RAs are continually striving to enhance the quality of the academic environment within the residence halls and apartments. However, additional responsibilities may depend on the needs of a particular area to which the RA is assigned. We reserve the right to move the placement of an RA based on the needs of the campus community. This document can be found on Brightspace.
