Please be advised that when your student is paying for their Stony Brook Invoice, they should take the following steps to ensure they are not a victim of a payment scam:
1. NEVER give your SOLAR ID and Password to anyone else.
2. NEVER use an anonymous third party individual to pay your tuition for you.
3. NEVER use Credit Card or Bank Account information provided to you by someone else.
4. DON'T assume that someone can get a better currency exchange rate for you.
5. Make your payments via Flywire or directly to Stony Brook University.
6. Contact the Bursar's Office if you are unsure about how to safely make your payment.
The Bursar’s Office has partnered with Flywire to provide a streamlined way to make international payments that are both simple and cost-effective.
