Nau mai hoki mai and welcome back to the last exciting term of the year.
It's great to have our Year 3-4 students back after the break, and they are brimming with excitement and enthusiasm for the learning experiences awaiting them in Term 4. They are looking forward to a variety of exciting events, including the Year 3-4 Sleepover and the end-of-year Learning Achievement Celebration.
Before we dive into Term 4, let's take a moment to acknowledge the exceptional end to Term 3. Our learners put in tremendous effort and dedication to create their impressive performance pieces for the school show. Their hard work didn't go unnoticed by our community, as many members of the audience praised the accomplishments of our Year 3-4 learners. Ka pai tamariki mā
Our concept for this term is focused on the concept of the 'Power of Us'. We will be discussing the meaning of community, contributing and collaborating, and the positive contributions we can all make to support our local community, no matter how big or small.
We introduced our concept this week with a video introduction of some 'Good Sorts' in the New Zealand community as well as exploring some examples of positive contributions. We hope to welcome some of our own local 'Good Sorts' into our learning spaces to discuss their positive contributions to our Stonefields community face-to-face.
Our sleepover is nearly here. If you have not yet completed the permission form, please do so by 5pm today (Friday 13 October, 2023).
