Our five key areas of focus target the most common barriers for student's independent success.
We help students explore different career paths to broaden their scope of their options. We know how hard it is to figure out what we like or dislike in job settings. We help students research different careers to help them narrow down their interests.
Covers lots of soft-skills such as time management, social skills, employer expectations, hygiene, interview skills and much much more. Practicing these skills help students build confidence and get them one step closer to independence.
Temporary work opportunities to explore different work settings and to build the student’s resume and skills. After students have narrowed down their search of possible careers, they have the opportunity to try out the job on a trial basis while getting paid.
As students explore careers, they will also learn about education or training required for particular positions. Pre-ETS will assist students in their educational plans.
Self-advocacy teaches about self-awareness. Students must learn about their specific disability to help them navigate the world. When students have a better understanding of their disability and their needs, they will learn when to seek accommodations and when to disclose that they have a specific disability.
