Financial Planning and Budgeting

Students will study what it means to be financially literate. They will examine the components of a personal budget and identify what it takes to make wise spending decisions.  

Income and Careers

Students will broaden their understanding of the relationship between career choices and financial stability. They will evaluate career options using data.  

Managing Money

Students will gain an understanding of banking, investing, and other money management concepts. They will examine the impact of purchasing a home.  

Taxes and Insurance

Students will learn about the rules and regulations of federal and state taxes, and recognize different types of taxes.  They will explore various types of insurance plans.  

Personal Finance 2

Consumer Loans, Credit and DebtStudents will examine the components of consumer loans and credit plans and the finance fees associated with them. They will investigate strategies for resolving debt issues. 
Economic Principles and the WorldStudents will examine how governmental agencies protect the consumer. They will compare global economies and systems.   The Business SettingStudents will be introduced to the aspects of starting a business.  They will practice making data-based business decisions.
