On the colony we will offer a variety of foods, which we did the math to find out, on average, how much of each plant the people will need to develop on a healthy diet:

• Russet Potatoes- One potato=169 calories
• Eggs- One egg=27 calories
• Chickpeas- Cup of Chickpeas=352 calories
• Kale- 1 cup of Kale=14 calories
• Algae - 1/8 cup of Dried Algae=376 calories
• Oats- 3/5 cup of Oatmeal=500 calories
• Strawberries- 1 cup of Strawberries=72 calories
• Tilapia- 6 ounce filet=218 calories
