Setting

“Trick or Treat!” were the words that echoed around the whole town. The sun had set and the moon was glistening in amongst the stars. My fingers felt like ice blocks from the cool breeze that had swept in during the night. A very sugary taste lingered in my mouth from all of the sweets I had eaten. Fumes from a bonfire in the distance sent a tingling feeling up through my nose. Just the sight of all of the Halloween costumes was making me dizzy. Boom! went the sound of the fireworks which were quite close by. Full of excitement, my two friends and I dashed down the street, stopping at every house that we passed. Before we knew it we were out in the countryside. Suddenly my friend spotted a bright light in the distance. After that the light moved and was coming closer to us.
