An Ofsted outstanding girls school in Marylebone, London
We are so proud to belong to an amazing school like St Maryelbone where the community is vibrant, supportive and everyone is encouraged to be their best self. St Marylebone fosters a love of learning and personal excellence, in all students, inspiring students to aim high and make a difference. It's a place where we grow not just as students, but as people- and we couldn't imagine being anywhere else. Above all, St Marylebone encourages us to be courageous, compassionate, imaginative, curious and responsive in everything that we do-shaping not only our futures, but the world around us.
About our school
The St Marylebone CE School is a thriving example of how great education can be. Our culture of achievement is fuelled by a love of learning, grounded in Christian values and driven by a dynamic creativity and a joyful sense of community.
“This school is an exceptional place, where students flourish both academically and personally within a strong spiritual ethos.” OFSTED
Our students thrive academically and evolve into young adults of whom we are really proud. They rise to high expectations, benefit from outstanding teaching, are motivated by each other and passionate subject specialist teachers. During their time here, students develop independent learning skills, social conscience, creativity and self-confidence. Students of all races, faiths and cultures are valued as individuals while learning how they are part of something bigger than themselves.
Our staff take pride in their profession and serve our community with dedication. Their positive work ethic, courage and joy rubs off on our students. We don’t pretend that adolescence and the challenges of secondary education are plain-sailing. Rather, we encourage young people to identify and address their difficulties, learn from mistakes, overcome obstacles and know themselves and the world better as a result.
We enjoy all the opportunities of our inner London setting, making the most of the city’s arts, culture, business and enterprise for our students’ enrichment – yet the school sites themselves are havens of creativity, learning and reflection. St Marylebone is here to ensure that our young people can all experience “life in all its fullness”.

Our School Ethos
Our service to young people and the community is grounded in our Church of England ethos, a vision we see expressed in Colossians 3.12-17:
As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
