We do the Hour of Code every year, but this year, we did something a little bit different than normal. We got to make ornaments with our initials in binary, and we also got into groups so we could experiment with different robots. For the binary ornaments, we put different color beads on a pipe cleaner. The green beads represent the number one, and the color red represents the number 0. We had a piece of paper which told us what each number represented. My first name in binary would be 01001110 01101001 01100011 01101000 01101111 01101100 01100001 01110011. Another thing we did for this year's Hour of Code was that we programmed robots to do certain tasks. My team consisted of me, Conner, and David. My team was using two robots named Sphero and Dash. With Sphero, we set up some bowling pins and a ramp in front of it. We made Sphero go forward at full speed towards the ramp which propelled it forward. With Dash, we made him run into certain structures, and we made a maze for it. I enjoyed making the ornaments and coding the robots because we had a lot of choices, and I also had a lot of fun with my team.
