Last week we had to find out what is and isn't a computer. The team that I choose was Chris and Evan. We got nineteen cards that had a picture on them and we had to decide if the items were a computer or not a computer. How we decided if the items were a computer or not is it they looked like a computer or if they were electronics like a laptop, phone, and iPad. The hardest item for us to decide if it was a computer or not, was the person because we didn't know if it was a robot or not. We eventually decided that we wouldn't make it a computer.
We watched a video that showed us what makes a computer and then we went back to our board and moved things around now that we watched the video. The four things the video told us was that a computer:
1. Takes Information.
2. Storage.
3. Processes.
4. Outputs.
We rearranged the cards after watching the video. The hardest thing to decide if it was a computer or not after the video was again the person, but in the end we said the person is a computer because people do get information, store and process it, then output an answer. So, I think that people are computers, but that's just my opinion. I really liked this assignment because I like to make things and we got to make a board. This is what our board looks like.
