Mass

"The first precept (“You shall attend Mass on Sundays and holy days of obligation.") requires the faithful to participate in the Eucharistic celebration when the Christian community gathers together on the day commemorating the Resurrection of the Lord." CCC 2042

This precept is a summary of what we learn from Scripture. See this link for a more detailed explanation about why we mustn't be CEO (Christmas, Easter Only) Christians. God gave us seven days. We can at least give Him one.

Going to mass as a family on a weekly basis can be transformational. It is there in the parish community that the domestic churches come together and form the parish church. Showered with graces from our communal prayer and infused with graces from the Eucharist, our faith is strengthened and renewed.
