Impressive bear voices from Miss Green this week!
One of my favourite hobbies is origami. I became fascinated by the magic of folding a plain piece of paper into anything at all - amazing!
When I first became interested in origami, YouTube didn't exist so I had to follow instructions from diagrams in books. It wasn't always easy: I had to keep persevering to understand what fold the diagram was trying to express. It taught me patience and perseverance.
Although I use video tutorials a lot more now, it's still good to try the "old-fashion" way sometimes...
Why not have a go at this spring chick? We'd love to see your efforts!
Wednesday's challenge is to create your own marble maze! It can be as BIG or small as you like and can be made from a variety of different materials.
Take a look through the pictures here and give it a go!
Yesterday, we heard in the Gospel that Jesus is 'The Way, the Truth and the Life' and is always with us as we journey through life.
In today's Witness Worship, Miss Cook thoughtfully explores what 'The Way, the Truth and the Life' means to her and where she can see it in our school community. There are some very familiar witnesses today - can you recognise them?
It would be wonderful to see some of your spiritual journaling of what our school motto means to you. Do email them over: ecook@stjosephsguildford.com
In this week's Gospel Worship we're looking ahead to the Fifth Sunday of Easter and the important reminder from Jesus that he is 'The Way, the Truth and the Life'. This upcoming Gospel is particularly inspirational for us at St Joseph's, as it where our vision and motto comes from.
To help us explore what this powerful message means in our own lives, we have a very special guest who reminds us that, even when it is difficult, we must put our trust in the Lord and he will guide us on our journey...
I was delighted to receive this entry for the Meeting Room Art Competition from Mrs Groom - what a clever way of combining both beautiful words and beautiful images! We both thought this might be a great way to get your creativity flowing at the start of another week's home learning. You could choose any theme or picture and use associated words to make it come to life. Enjoy!
