Choral Evensong is a regular feature of the pattern of worship at St John's. These services are held once a month (usually on the first Sunday of the month in the evening). Please check the Notices page for exact dates for the next Choral Evensong at St John's.
St John's Choir is joined by choristers from in and around the town for these and other special choral services.
Our monthly Afternoon Worship is an all-age service held on the third Sunday of each month at 4.00pm, with refreshments served from 3.40pm. This service offers a later and more accessible time and an alternate style of worship. Following the pattern of the Service of the Word, this service includes hymns and worship songs chosen by the congregation, alongside readings, prayers, and shared reflection.
On high days and holy days of the Christian Calendar, we hold an Evening Eucharist with incense. Please check the Notices page for exact dates for the upcoming Festal Eucharist.
