TESTS AND QUIZZES

• Parents:  This is the chapter in which the students should be memorizing their multiplication facts to memory.  In school, we play games, sing song, work on digital assignments, and complete worksheets to help the children with this skill.  It is also very important that the students are practicing at home for 10 minutes a night on their multiplication facts.  Thank you very much for your help with this important skill. 

• Students will complete a timed multiplication facts worksheet two to three times a week for practice. Each Friday, they will be graded on the same type of timed drill they have been working on throughout the week.

• During the week of 12/15 the student's timed drill will be on the 6 times facts

In Chapter 3: Multiplication Facts and Strategies.

• Multiply with 2 and 4 (finished)

• Multiply with 5 and 10 (finished)

• Multiply with 3 and 6 - (finished)

• Understanding the Distributive Property (we began this on Friday, 12/12)  This is typically a difficult skill for the kids and will take a couple of days.

• Multiply with 7

• Understanding the Associative Property of Multiplication

• Patterns on the multiplication table.

• Multiply with 8.

• Multiply with 9.

• Multiply with 11 and 12.
