STEAM Club

Only a handful of spots remain for STEAM Club! Open to Grades 3–5, this hands-on club will meet every other Wednesday from 3-4pm in the Multimedia Center beginning on 11/5. Additional dates are 11/19, 12/10, 1/7, 1/21 and 2/4.This club is limited to just 25 students. The cost to participate is $90.00. Payment can be made via cash or Venmo (@Llufrio-Fam). Homework Connection

• The next session of dates for Homework Connection are available! Homework Connection is offered for both Elementary students (Gr 1-4) and Middle School students (Gr 5-8). Students may work on homework with the help of teachers on duty, if needed. A snack is provided.

Upcoming Service Opportunities

Please take note of the various service opportunities that we have coming up in the next few weeks. 

Now through 11/7- We are collecting items from middle school students to support the Ronald McDonald House. This was an idea brought to us by 2 current 8th graders. The items below will be assembled to create comfort kits for families who are staying at the Ronald McDonald House to help them feel at home.

• 6A: 1-2 small bottles of hand sanitizer (8 oz. or smaller)

• 6B: 1-2 packs of playing cards or card games

• 7A: 1 small bag of candy

• 7B: 1-2 packages of mints or gum

• 8A: 1-2 crossword or word find books

• 8B: 1-2 coloring books

• Any other grades that are interested in participating may donate new cozy socks (adult and/or child sizes are needed)

Veteran's Day Collection

Tuesday, 11/11- Last year, two of our students came up with the idea for us to collect donations on Veterans Day to support the Honor Flight Foundation, which helps send veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials dedicated to their service. This year on Tuesday, November 11th, students may dress in Red, White and Blue for bringing in $1 or more to donate to this wonderful cause.

November Food Donations for JJHS

Wednesday, 11/12- Our annual National Junior Honor Society Food Drive will take place on November 12th. Please bring in non-perishables and canned goods to support the food pantry at St. Clement's to help families have food on their table during difficult times. This is a one day only food drive so please shop ahead of time, but please do not send anything in until Wednesday, November 12th. 

Asynchronous Day Policy

On Friday, 11/14 we will have our first Asynchronous Day of the school year, which means that there are no students on campus. Below are the expectations for everyone to have a successful day. 

• Every child will have work to complete independently at home.  

• Half day of INDEPENDENT work to be completed at home

• All work graded for T2-CONTENT (except Special Areas due to different categories)

• No work = Zero

• Work will be sent home the day before OR posted via Google Classroom by 5pm the day before.

• ALL WORK DUE BY 5pm on Friday 11/14.

• Devices can be borrowed if needed, please let your child's homeroom teacher know in advance.

• All subjects for Friday's schedule will have work including Special Areas.

All parents must complete Virtus Training in order to volunteer at our school for class parties, field trips, and other activities.   Your certification will need to be updated periodically, as well.   More information about this training can be found at the following website:

Your third grade child's grades are kept in an online gradebook called Powerschool.  We recommend that all parents visit Powerschool often in order to keep informed of your child's progress.  You can visit this website to learn how to sign in to Powerschool:
