What can your School Social Worker help you with?
licensed mental health provider
evidence-based behavioral, social emotional, and mental health services (for example: working with students to improve social skills, anger management, coping skills/stress management, problem-solving skills, etc...).
promote a safe and equitable school climate & culture supporting positive academic and behavioral outcomes (for example: 1:1 sessions, small groups, classroom lessons and/or crisis intervention).
collaborate with school & community resources empowering students to reach their full potential (for example: facilitating communication between parents & teachers or providing connecting families with community resources).
School Social Workers are part of the evaluation team for special education services and provide services/support to students who receive special education support.
