Jonathan Kwon – Was Yi Soonshin the Greatest Admiral Ever?

The assignment was to ask a historical question and answer it to the best of our ability. To accomplish this I wrote my research paper as a script and set it to my own video. I drew the animation myself in a program called scratch, and then edited them together in imovie. Finally I added the audio and music. Overall the project took around 16 hours to complete.

This mini-documentary was a digital story that complemented my research paper in Honors English 11. I created the digital story using iMovie on my personal MacBook Pro. Additionally, I used a balance of personal images such as childhood photos and images I found free to use on the interwebs. I also conducted an interview with my mother, who was one of my primary sources of research. I filmed the conversation using my Canon Rebel T6 and tripod. This was a passion project of mine that I completed with the help of Dr. Culver's provided class work time (approx. 5 hours) as well as many many hours at home.

This is a piece about healing and how growing/getting better is not linear. I created it through a collection of videos I took to complement the writing I created for narration. My english class had given us the task to create a "Digital Story" detailing a thought or memory of importance. Taking me around three days/ 10 hours to complete in total, I spent lots of time finding the correct weather and supplies to film.

This is a digital story about discovering a passion. In particular, my experience discovering the passion of becoming a heart surgeon truly felt like a life-altering moment. I decided to recreate this moment in my digital story for College Writing, using WeVideo. Spending around 4 hours total on this project (recording, editing, voice-over), my dad and I filmed each shot at least twice to ensure good quality.

This was a digital story to show a time in my life where I faced an issue and my perspective was changed. I made this on iMovie and it took me a few weeks probably over twelve hours of work on it.

This is a Digital Story that I made at the end of last school year. It was a very fun project to work on, and I got use some of my video-editing skills. The assignment was to create a short digital story about something that happened in your life. At first, I honestly didn't know what I wanted to do, but I finally settled on a specific time during quarantine when I went for a walk and really just got to enjoy the peace and joy of being in nature. One of the reasons I chose that story was because I had, and could use, a lot of my own pictures, which is something I love.
