The children’s completed activities are to be brought into school
on Wednesday 22nd (normal school) or Thursday 23rd October 1 - 3pm.
Our teachers will be on strike on Thursday but the classrooms will be open, 1-3pm, to drop off home projects.
All home projects must remain in the classroom until 1:00pm on Ag Day so that everyone has the opportunity to view the children’s creations
Agriculture Day 2025 Home Projects
Children with lambs or calves can choose whether to take part in these activities, as well as bringing along their animals to the show. All other students are asked to complete at least one activity at home, as indicated
below, beside your classroom number. The children’s completed activities are to be brought into school the day before Agriculture Day, Thursday 23rd October.
Rooms 1, 2 and 3 (Bring at least one to display)
● Miniature Scene - Use a range of recycled or craft materials to build a farm scene or animal.
● Fruit / Vegetable creation
● Cooking / Baking / Decorated Biscuit / Cup cakes / Edible necklace
● Flower Arrangement (sand saucer, aqua jar or an arrangement of flowers)
Room 4 and 5 (Bring at least one to display)
● Cooking / Baking / Decorated Biscuit / Cup cakes

● Fruit/Vegetable Creation
● Floral Arrangement (sand saucer, aqua jar or an arrangement of flowers)
Room 6 (Bring at least one to display in class)
● Fruit/Vegetable Creation
● Photography; take an inspiring photo of your favourite Opunake scene (mountain, sea, river, farm) email a high quality photo file to anna@stjo.school.nz for printing. Photos will be printed in A4 size. You must create an A3 frame (made of any material for the photo to be displayed in).

● Decorated Cake for the Silent Cake Auction (Proceeds to go towards PTA Fund)
