If Neurodiverse characters are represented properly then Neurodiverse people will be better understood, respected and accepted.

this book is about a girl who is struggling in school and dose not believe in her self and one day she gets a new teacher that believes in her and help her believe in her self and helps her read and write. and shows things is going to be okay even if it is difficult.
I like this book because it shows always believe in your self and things will get better.
Greta and the Giants is a book by Zoe tucker and Zoe Persico. It is about the real girl Greta Thunberg who is an environmental activist who is also autistic.

"I have read some of the graphic novels and books and listened to them as audiobooks. I far prefer them to the films because they don't adapt the story and the film character doesn't show his neurodiversity as much as the books. In the books it shows his struggles with reading much more and it's really well described." -Alasdair age 11.
this book is about an autistic girl and she has just started year 7 and her friend group are growing up and now she is trying to fit in but finds out it is better to stand out than blend in.
The American kids show Sesame street is aimed at really young kids. They introduced a muppet called Julia who is autistic. She found it really hard to deal with loud sounds and lots going on. It is really good to have a character like this becuase it influences young kids to learn about people like Julia.
