YOUR STIRLING, YOUR SAY: LOCAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN
Stirling Council is preparing the next Local Development Plan (LDP) which will cover the whole Council area except for the part within the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.
Once completed and approved, the next Local Development Plan will set out where development should and should not take place, identify important places and assets that require protection, and include local planning policies to guide decisions on future planning applications.
Two surveys have been launched where we invite your views on the emerging Spatial Strategy and the Site Options currently being considered for inclusion in the Proposed Plan.

The Spatial Strategy consultation is seeking to gather feedback on the early ideas for the hierarchy of settlements and the associated development approaches, which will guide decisions about the distribution and scale of growth across the Stirling Local Development Plan area.
The Site Options consultation builds on a previous consultation for a call for sites. This time we are seeking specific feedback on the options that are currently being considered for inclusion in the Proposed Plan.
Alongside the surveys, a number of public drop-in events are planned to take place during May and June. The confirmed events can be found here.

Further events planned for Balfron, Bannockburn, Doune/Deanston, Dunblane, Stirling, Thornhill, and Throsk will be organised in June.
The closing date to respond to this stage of the consultation is Thursday 23rd July.
If you have any difficulties with the survey, or have any further questions, you can contact us at insights@stirling.gov.uk.
Thank you for taking the time to complete the survey!
