As the College remains physically closed due to the lockdown, they are continuing to deliver learning remotely to ensure our school/college partnership pupils have every opportunity to complete their studies.
Many pupils may still have work to submit/undertake over the weeks ahead in order to achieve their qualifications and it is essential that they engage with their Lecturer or Curriculum Manager online in order to agree a study plan.
This includes all young people who attended college on a Tuesday, Thursday or Friday, those who were studying N4 or N5 Early Education and Childcare, those who were studying N5 Energy and all those studying for a Foundation Apprenticeship.
An email will be sent out to pupils this week in relation to their course. We would appreciate your support in ensuring school pupils engage with their college work online during the closure period. Pupils are advised to access their learning resources through Microsoft Teams and Moodle.
If anyone is having difficulty in accessing their learning resources or contacting their Lecturer, please get in touch with schools.co-ordinator@forthvalley.ac.uk

Thanks to funding from the Scottish Government, Stirling Council is in the process of launching a new scheme called ‘Period Protected’ to ensure all young people have access to free sanitary products during Covid–19.
As our School collection points are temporarily closed during COVID-19, the council are trialling a new ordering service so you can still get access to the products you need.
All students who menstruate can use this free service. A range of products across four care packs are available to choose from.
In addition to students this service is available for young women up to the age of 25, who live, go to school, or work/volunteer in the Stirling Council area and provide a Stirling post code for delivery so please make sure you share this post with adults or carers in your house.
The online trial will run for an initial two weeks (until 25 May 2020) and will be reviewed afterwards.
Products may take up to six weeks to arrive after initial ordering. When the online trial closes, orders will be confirmed, packed and delivered to your house. It is hoped this will happen quickly but please allow time for orders to be processed.
To make an order complete your online form HERE.
If you don’t receive your order after 6 weeks please email SPandYP@stirling.gov.uk

During this emergency, communities have come together to support vulnerable individuals and families in their area. Local community groups, businesses and 3rd sector agencies are helping supply food and essentials to those vulnerable and self-isolating while others are providing other roles such as befriending.
Stirling Council is supporting the coordination of this through Local Area Coordinators.
You can find out more about support in your local area from the bulletins below:
