FAQ

How much does it cost to go to an EC event?

On campus events are free for all undergraduate students to attend! Off campus shows are $20, unless stated otherwise, and include both your ticket and transportation!

How/where do I sign up for an EC event?

For off campus events, the signup forms go live the Monday night before the event at 10PM on EC's Ducklink page. Make sure to sign up right at 10PM as tickets go quickly! You will need to provide your name, email, & CWID.

On campus events do not require sign ups before the event - just show up and make sure to check in!

Who can join the Entertainment Committee?

All undergraduate students are welcome to join the Entertainment Committee! Please see the "Join" section above for more details :)

How do I get to the event?

Depending on the location of the event, you will receive access/a voucher to a method of transportation. For example, students may receive a pre-paid bus ticket, metro card, or access to a private Academy Bus to get us to and from the venue.

In the acceptance email for each event, there is an itinerary provided with instructions on how to get to the venue and the recommended timing to do so. Students are given the option to either travel with an EC group, led by one of our event chairs, or travel on their own with the provided transportation voucher.

How often are events held?

EC typically hosts between 25 and 30 events a semester. Throughout each week of the semester we host between 1-3 events on average. Festivities events happen once a year.

How do you decide which events to plan?

Each type of event is planned differently however, in general, our events are planned based on student opinion, financial capabilities, past events, and availability. We release a student survey for each new semester so please make sure to fill that out so that you're accounted for!

Where are the photo booth pictures uploaded?

All photo booth pictures at our festivities events (Fall Fest, Tree Lighting, FDB, Earth Day, and Techfest) are uploaded on our Facebook. See here.

Does the "pinnacle cultural passport" fund apply to EC events?

Unfortunately no. The events planned by the Pinnacle event committee are independent of the Entertainment Committee.
