Festivities

EC’s Festivities, previously know as Novelties, are all large-scale student-run events hosted throughout the year both on and off-campus. Today, Festivities comprises of 4 on-campus events, which are completely free for any undergraduate student to attend, and 1 off-campus event (Founder’s Day Ball). Our Fall semester events include Fall Fest and our annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony and our Spring semester events include Founder’s Day Ball, Earth Day, and Techfest.

We are ecstatic to be able to create events that help bring the entire Stevens student body together! Make sure to check out each of the different pages for these events to see how they’re each unique and special to the Stevens student body!

George Alapatt and Zak Kermitz

Hello! My name is George Alapatt. I am a ¼ Quantitative Finance major at Stevens. Outside of the Entertainment Committee, I am the Vice President of Programming for Atilla Entrepreneurs and am a Peer Leader for the Class of 2024. I am excited to take on the position of Festivities Co-Chair along with Zachary Kermitz. I really enjoyed being a part of Tree Lighting and Founder’s Day Ball and I cannot wait to help plan these and other events. My goal for next year is to expand festivities events and get more student involvement.

Hi! My name is Zak Kermitz and I am a 1/4 Computer Engineering major at Stevens. Outside of the Entertainment Committee, I play on the Stevens Rocket League team. I wanted to be involved with EC's Festivities events because I want to provide the Stevens community with opportunities to forget about the stress of classes and relax for a bit. I am excited to bring Stevens students fun-filled events this coming year!
