Provide the user with accurate mileage information depending on the vehicle model, speed, acceleration, and environment
Give suggestions to car owners to optimize their driving with respect to maximizing mileage and increasing healthy driving usage

Background

Users will be those who would benefit from the data we will collect and provide
- Older car owners will enjoy the features of newer cars without having to pay the high cost required to get a newer car model
- Car owners will have real-time data on their driving habits
- Sends data about phone usage during driving

Methodology

An embedded device that will be located on the car
- The device will communicate wirelessly with a server to provide accurate data
A web application or phone application will be developed to store, display, and explain the data to users

Result

A device and software pair that accurately and continuously gathers the data and displays it in a visually, and easily accessible manner

Software development cost - time and licensing of API
Physical device cost - the cost of the physical device that will be placed on the vehicle

Why?

DashHub is used by drivers new and old who aim to get each motorist the most relevant and accurate information on their driving style/ habits so that they can increase their fuel economy, safety on the street , and longevity of working parts in the vehicle. A report will be generated which is necessary for reflecting on the quality of the driver and the risks associated with their skill level.
