As our students, you will have access to a set of CCD online resources that can help you navigate your career journey. You can explore your career interests and goals, improve your career-readiness skills, and connect with NYU alumni by utilizing virtual platforms. More information will be shared during the CCD orientation session.

Self Assessment

To help explore your career interests, values, skills and strengths, and how they best intersect with specific career paths. Please click the link CareerLeader and CliftonStrengths for the students user guide and complete the two assessments.

Job Search

After you are on board, we will use Handshake (NYU Career Service Platform) for scheduling coaching appointments to better support you to start your professional career journey.

• GF Assessment 

GF Assessment is a platform that provides unlimited access to 150+ assessments that you may come across during the recruitment process, including: Industry based test recommendations; Ability Tests (Numerical, Logical, Verbal Reasoning, and more); Game-based Assessments.

• Hiration

Hiration is an interactive, 24/7 virtual resume review assistant. At any time, you can create or upload your resume to Hiration, and receive instant tips and personalized feedback for how to revise and strengthen your resume. Moreover, you can also tailor your resume through pasting the job description in the system and getting targeted resume review information. Using HIRATION before coming to our Walk-in Hours will allow you to maximize the time in your in-person meeting. Try it out! 

• GoinGlobal

GoinGlobal is a useful career preparation tool, in which you can utilize its comprehensive career and employment resources tool kit filled with everything you need to find jobs and internships at home and abroad. GoinGlobal also updates job postings daily and gives you the ability to search 16 million+ worldwide opportunities in the local language, as well as English. You can use this platform to explore more than 450,000 corporate profiles to target key employers throughout 196 countries.

• Firsthand

Firsthand provides students with career guides, employer profiles and rankings, discussion boards, industry blogs and news. You can utilize this platform to discover great  job opportunities, know more about industries and find the right career path.    

Interview Skills

• CaseCoach is a leading online prep platform for case interviews, developed by former McKinsey interviewers and headhunters. To claim your free access to CaseCoach’s courses, just sign up here with your university email address (e.g. NetID@nyu.edu).

• Big Interview is a proven, step-by-step system that combines expert video lessons and interactive interview practice tools to help you land your dream job.
