5-6

5th and 6th graders read the story The Secret Cave, a true story about the discovery of the Lascaux Cave in France. 

We talked about why it's so important to preserve these images from all over the world that our ancestors created as they tell us so much about life long ago. 

We created "cave wall" paper which turned out awesome. Then they rolled a dice to see which limited painting tools, colors, and animals they had to paint. Such a fun challenge!!
