Hello! My name is Stephanie Curran, and I am very excited to be joining the 3rd grade team at SSM! I began my teaching career in 3rd grade back in 2003 and have had the opportunity to work in both public and private schools. Throughout my career, I have taught 3rd and 4th grade, worked as a behavior interventionist, taught summer school, and served as a long-term substitute. For the past five years, I have taught 6th grade ELA at St. Patrick’s in Elkhorn. I am excited to return to 3rd grade and look forward to getting to know my students and their families!
Outside of school, I am a proud mom of five and grandma to one, with another grandbaby arriving in September! My husband and I love to travel and enjoy riding motorcycles together—I ride an RG3 (three-wheeled motorcycle). I especially love spending time in the mountains and forests. I am a professionally trained singer-- sometimes the kids get me to sing opera (if they are good). We are also a family of dog lovers and have four dogs at home! I also have a special love for Highland Coos, or “cows,” which inspired the theme for our classroom this year. I’m looking forward to a fun year filled with learning, laughter, and lots of happy memories!
