As you locate these resources, bookmark the online resources so they are easy to access. You can create a bookmark folder to place all these project resources. Organization is key!

Learn from the Masters - MASTER CLASS

  • Register to participate in a class taught by the "Masters." Click on "Categories" to view the different categories (topics) and who is teaching.

Infographic and Sharing Tools

    • Printing Press - Create a Newspaper, Brochure, or Flyer/Poster/Sign online, then print and/or share the pdf digitally to embed in a website

    • Easel.ly - Create a free account and select an infographic template to represent an idea in a visual way

    • ThingLink - A Chrome add-on to create interactive news, photography, maps, posters, infographics

    • Your Google Keep Account - A note-taking tool that uses a variety of tools for taking notes, including text, lists, images, and audio all within one place and with organization

    • Blogger - Create your blog through your Google account and make sure the blog can be viewed by others

Video Creation

There are a multitude of video tools to use. You can video your final product on an i-phone, i-pad, tablet, flip camera...the list is endless. Once you have the video taping completed to your satisfaction, you can edit using tools online or on your computer.

    • Screencastify - Chrome add-on screen recorder where the lite version is free and has many great features to record your computer screen

    • Animoto - Chrome add-on that turns your photos and video clips into quality videos and slideshows, complete with music and text

    • WeVideo - Chrome add-on video editing tool with a database of graphics, audio and complete themes, specific transitions, music and sound effects and text font. Graphics consist of image and solid colored backgrounds, frames and overlays. For audio, you can access free and premium music, plus sound effects. You can choose between many transition patterns and effects and add text.

    • Adobe Spark - Create narrated videos, printed materials, graphics, or writing assignments for FREE

    • PowToon - Create animated videos

    • ChipChamp - Create an account using your school Google login and begin creating videos

    • Kizoa - Creating videos, online collages, etc.

    • Soundcloud - Add to Chrome and try it out...not my favorite)

    • MySimpleShow - Online tools to develop your writing and presentation with storyline planning and development in video format

Coding Apps and Tools

      • Glide - Create an app using Google Sheets (So easy!)

      • Scratch - a free coding software, online and created by MIT, where you can program your own interactive stories, games, and animations

      • App Inventor - an intuitive, visual programming environment that allows everyone and anyone to build fully functional apps for smartphones and tablets

      • Tynker - computing platform where you learn to program and built games, apps and more (Chromebook)

      • Coding with Chrome - a Google project to provide an easy-to-use coding/programming environment (IDE) within the Chrome browser that even works offline. Currently, users are able to create programs using Blockly, Coffeescript, HTML, Javascript and Python with output to Logo Turtle and/or connected toys such as the Sphero, mBot and Lego Mindstorms

      • Code Combat - a real game that teaches learners of all ages to code by playing through levels and quickly mastering programming concepts

      • Courses by Code.org - Learn the fundamentals of Computer Science with drag & drop blocks. Create your own drawings and games. Then, move on to more advanced skill lessons.

      • Chrome App Developer - Use this page to navigate through the process of developing apps for Chromebooks.

      • Apple Developer - Use this set of pages to find ways to develop apps for i-phone, i-Pad, etc. with the ability to eventually submit to Apple.

    • SketchPad - A Chrome app for drawing and painting

    • DeviantArt - A drawing tool online with many options to create an account, save, download, share, etc.

    • Khan Academy: Pixar in a Box - Learn the tools and techniques from the animators at Pixar

    • Photopea - Online photo editor just like Photoshop!

    • Gimp - A chrome app for drawing and creating images like Photoshop; will integrate in Google Drive

    • InspirARTion - A Chrome app for drawing with different brushes and modes

    • Fotor Collage Maker - A Chrome app for collage making... an editing platform, complete with customizable templates, backgrounds and effects

Music Tools

    • Soundtrap - A user-friendly platform for music making online by using loops and software instrument and by recording vocals, guitars and more (free trial - no longer totally free)

    • NoteFlight - features include recording, performance and assessment tools. Every user can access their Noteflight account from any computer or device, including Chromebooks, iPads, and smartphones. All digital scores are interactive, customizable, and easily accessible, and sharing and collaboration are built directly into every aspect of Noteflight Learn ($69 / year)

    • EarSketch - Making music and using code to do it

    • Voice Recorder (Add to Chrome)

    • Vocaroo (Record through the web)

    • Twisted Wave (You don't have to create a free account to save files - but, you can. Files are deleted after 60 days, so make sure you save to Google Drive as mp3, etc. - Create a Music folder in Google Drive!)
