Education and Experience

I have over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, families and adults. I received my MSW in 2002 from the University of Washington and am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). I have worked as a therapist for most of my career, but am still firmly rooted in the social work values of justice, integrity, competence, service, the dignity of every individual and the importance of human relationships.

Prior to my private practice I worked at King County Sexual Assault Resource Center (KCSARC) for 7 years. I specialized in trauma focused therapy for children, adolescents and adults and have extensive experience treating Complex PTSD. I am also experienced in working with adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, both male and female. Over the years I have also had the honor of supporting families through the Clarification and Reunification process. For nine years, I worked in a community mental health school-based program counseling youth and offering support in the educational setting. Here my focus was anger issues, anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief and loss, oppositional/defiant behavior, and IEP support. I also worked closely with families, offering support to parents. I have worked collaboratively with families, schools, medical professionals, hospitals, DSHS, and sex offender treatment providers.
