About Me

Hi! My name Is Alexis Marinopoulos but your children know me as their middle school ELA/Literature teacher Miss. Marinopoulos. I am so excited to get to know your kids and help guide them into the young adults they are growing into. A little bit about me is I grew up In South Chicago where I went to Marist High School and then attended The University of Iowa In Iowa City. I recently graduated college with a BA in Secondary Education with a focus in English Education, and a second BA in English and Creative Writing.

I love reading, photography, traveling, trying new things, concerts, and anything Chicago! I am also a huge fan of students choosing their own books as long as they are reading, so that will play a huge part of my 8th grade lit course!

I hope to get to know all of you a little bit better this year!
