Set Up

Classroom Set Up and Genre Exploration:

• In this unit, students will get to know me, and each other, a little better with some activities.

• Students will begin a "Free Reading" journey by picking out a book for them to read at the beginning of each class. 

  • The goal Is for each kid to read 20 books by the beginning of May. 

  • Each book will be logged by pages read. 150 pages Is one book.

• As a class we will discuss the multitude of genres and I will help to guide each student to discover which genre might Interest them that best.
