7th Grade Religion

Textbook: Blest Are We Faith in Action: The Story of Jesus 

There are 5 units that will be covered. We will be reading and discussing the textbook, doing some devotional activities, holiday activities, in class activities and reading/discussing the Bible. Students may have homework from time to time and  a chapter test at the end of each chapter. Students will participate in morning prayers daily and school masses at least 1-2 times a month.

Unit 2: The Meaning of the Kingdom

    Chapter 7- Working for Justice

    Chapter 8- A Prayer for the Kingdom 

Unit 3: The Christian Life 

    Chapter 9- Living in Christ's Service

    Chapter 10- Jesus, Our Eucharist

    Chapter 11- Living in Christ's Love

    Chapter 12- Christ the Healer

Unit 4: The Paschal Mystery

    Chapter 13- Jesus' Persecution

    Chapter 14- Jesus' Passion

    Chapter 15- The Resurrection and the Call to Discipleship

    Chapter 16- Pentecost

Unit 5: The Good News 

    Chapter 17- The Early Church

    Chapter 18- The Church Today

    Chapter 19- Spreading the Gospel

    Chapter 20- Guided by the Holy Spirit
