Travel Guidelines

March 29, 2021

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we look forward to spring break, I wanted to go over COVID protocols. Please read the following information carefully.

If you are traveling outside of New Jersey for more than 24 hours (except for Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut or Delaware), students must quarantine upon returning.

- If the student tests negative for COVID (test must be done no sooner than 5 days after returning) they will only need to quarantine for 7 days.

- If the student does not get tested, they must quarantine for 10 days after returning. A test is not required to return to school.

** Please note, day 1 of quarantine begins on the day after you return home from travel. **

As a reminder, St. Bartholomew’s COVID policy can be found on the nurse’s website. The following are a few key points:

- If your child has any COVID symptoms, please keep him/her home. He/she can work remotely.

- If anyone in the household tests positive for COVID, the student(s) must quarantine. Please call or email the nurse for guidance.

- If your child was tested for COVID and the results are pending, he/she is to stay home until the results become available even if he/she is not symptomatic.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Nurse Jenn
