Map My Path is about building stronger connections for students, families, and schools. Here you’ll find news, updates, and stories that show how the project is taking shape.
New Pilot Sites Launched in Brighton and Montrose
We’re excited to announce that Brighton (27J Schools, in partnership with the Center for People With Disabilities) and Montrose (Montrose County School District RE-1J, in partnership with the Center for Independence) have officially joined Map My Path as new pilot sites.
These additions expand our reach into both a fast-growing suburban community and a rural area with unique needs. Each site will bring fresh perspectives, helping us learn how to better coordinate services and support students with disabilities as they plan for the future.
Youth Voices Leading the Way
Young people are not just participants in Map My Path — they’re helping shape the project through Action Groups. These groups give youth a direct role in designing tools, testing resources, and sharing what matters most to them. By stepping into leadership, youth voices are driving change and making sure the project reflects real experiences and real needs.
So far, youth have provided input on marketing materials, brainstormed creative ways to reach and engage with their peers, and shaped strategies for how Map My Path shows up on social media. Their ideas are guiding how we communicate, ensuring the project feels relevant, accessible, and youth-driven from the start.
