Keep Alumni Engaged
After the initial term, Family Voice Council members remain engaged and utilize the skills they built during their time as members.
Alumni engagement steps:
Implement monthly meetings with alumni to share updates and ongoing support.
Meetings are always optional and provide a time to connect.
The first 30 minutes is designed to share what’s happening in their world.
These meetings are not as formal as Family Voice Council, as the alumni have 2-3 years of experience and can self-direct the meetings and activities.
Offer special projects for this group to co-create and address.
Ask alumni to help update resources, such as the FVC charter.
